My makeup WISH LIST for January 2012

Hello Beautiful!

If you at least slightly know me, then you'd know what role makeup plays in my life. I know many people, who being nervous / stressed / sad etc start eating a lot... in my case, I go makeup shopping! :) Since I consider this to be sometimes an addiction, I decided to start composing "makeup wish lists" before I do purchases. This basically helps me get my thoughts together and thus control myself and not spend tons of money on something that I actually don't need.

This way or another here goes the list of makeup that I am considering purchasing. Obviously, I will not buy everything from this list (or who knows:) ), but I would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions too!

1. The Sparkler (The Body Shop), 22 EUR.

This is basically an illuminator, which comes in a cute bottle that reminds me of the old perfume bottles. Needless to say, that the packaging influences me a lot too! Isn't that TOO CUTE!? :) The Sparkler comes in two colors - pink and gold! The illuminator is dry in texture, but the quality seems to be really nice!  I actually have tried them and like both of them! However, since I already have so many illuminators, I might start with just one for now... the pink one! ;) ..obvious, right? :)

2. YSL Cream Blush in # 3 Silky Praline, 35 EUR

I have always been very sceptical towards cream blushes... don't ask me why (I truly don't know), however I recently have tried YSL's cream blush and fell in love with it! First of all, the product pigmentation is quite nice (not too little, not too much... just enough)! Second, the product feels amazing on your skin. Compared to other cream blushes, it feels more like mousse on your fingers and skin; it leaves a very nice and sultry finish.

The color I would like to go for is 3 (Silky Praline), which is sort of dirty pink/brown color - the color I am used to wear on the every-day basis.

3. Diorshow Iconic Mascara

I have never used any mascara by Dior... still can't believe this is possible! Anyways, quite a few of my friends own this mascara and I truly love how their lashes look like. Diorshow Iconic is a high definition lash curler mascara, which in my opinion is all I need. I don't think Diorshow Iconic gives you volume, but it indeed sculpts, streches and curls your lashes. I guess this is a must-have for me!

4. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation

Forbidden Fruit is always sweet... Laura Mercier is not sold where I live and this makes me desire this foundation even more! From what I have seen on YT, Silk Creme Foundation is HOT this season and I sincerelly would like to try this out! Hopefully, I'll get a chance to obtain it very soon! ;) Btw, have you guys tried this foundation before!? If so, is it really that good?

Anyways, I guess this is IT for my wish list so far! Do you know anything that I still haven't tried and you like it? If you do, then definetely let me know! ;) I am in costant search for good products to try out! Thanks! ;)

My Wish List for September

I am sure many girls will agree that we always have a huge list of items in mind that we REALLY want and need to have! I am not an exception! Here goes the list of my wish items for September 2011. Obviously, I won't be able to buy all of them, but I may be able to purchase at least some! I will keep you updated in my YT videos :)

1. Tailored Shift Dress by Karen Millen (GBP 175.00)
I really love Karen Millen dresses! The funniest thing is that I don't have any :) For some reason, the majority of these dresses are too small for me in the chest area! Anyways, this dress is amazing! I have tried it on and it looks perfect!!! The only thing that I don't like is the price! Why do practically all beautiful things have to be so expensive?

If you know me at least a tiny bit, you know how I love leopard prints! And it is not that I just love them, but half of my wardrobe is full on cheetah-prints! Obviously, when I saw these cute pumps, I fell in love with them! I can totally see how they would fit my leopard-print blazer, jeans, tops etc. ...what can I say, I NEED to have them :)

Needless to say that practically all of us have laptops, iPads etc. I personally have quite a few laptop sleeves, but when I saw this one...well, I just fell in love with it! It looks and feels amazing... and it is PINK :) Obviously, this is a must have for my Wish List! :)

4. Sleek i-Divine Primer Palette (GBP 7.50)
I personally have always felt that there is lack of good colourful primers on the market! The good news is that Sleek has come up with a whole primer palette this time! Bearing in mind the quality of Sleek products, I am sure this product is going to be a MUST HAVE for every girl who loves makeup! Hopefully, I will try this palette myself soon :)

5. MUA Cosmetics Eye Shadow Palette
Finally, MUA Cosmetics Eye Shadows Palettes.... For me these palettes are a legend! I have never EVER been able to find any in store and I really sincerelly look forward to it! Can't wait to try the MUA's professional line! ...hopefully this month... :)
What does your wish list look like? ;) Please let me know in the comment section below! :)

10 Wedding Makeup Tips: Advice for YOUR Wedding

 Hello Beautiful!

So, you are getting married!? My congratulations to you! Now on that very day you want to look perfect, right!? And you will! Let me share some makeup tips and experience with you in order for you to have the best wedding ever! ;)
1. Use primers to avoid creasing and smudging of makeup products! I especially insist on eye shadow primer, because it really looks awful, when bride's eye shadows gather in the crease or small wrinkles!

2. If your skin is oily you might want to use some mattifying primer on your face before applying foundation. Nothing looks worse than too glowy and oily looking bride!

3. Try to use matte eye shadows! Shimmery eye shadows have particles that reflect light and your makeup may look unattractive on the pictures! ...same is valid for foundation!

 4. If you want your makeup to stand out on the pictures  use a bit brighter/bolder colors on your eyes and lips! When I look back, I personally thought that my wedding makeup was dramatic, but when I look at the pictures... well, it seems I barely had anything on! :)

5. For me wedding was all about emotions and kissing! :) Emotions - you get nervious, might drop a tear or two and kissing... well, not only kissing your husband, but also relatives who want to congratulate you! The point is, make sure your mascara and lipstick are waterproof!

6. Waterproof or not, your lipstick will fade away in some time! Make sure to carry one with you for touchups.

7. Avoid foundation on your decolletage! It can stain your dress and stress you out!

8. Don't overdo your blush! You don't want to look like those old dolls we used to have back in our childhood! However, a bit of blush is a necessity! A bit of color on your cheeks looks like an instant facelift.

9. Most probably you will have to wake up very early on your special day! ...I had to wake up at 6 a.m.! Conceal your under-eye area to make your eyes look fresh throughout the day!

10. Camera lights will make your makeup melt! To avoid that use powder to set your makeup

And finally, try to enjoy your wedding! The ceremony and party will fly fast and you indeed will be worrying if everything is allright and if guests are pleased (even if you have a wedding planner)! Well, forget about it! This is YOUR moment, so enjoy!

If you are wondering how to pull of the wedding makeup you see on the pictures, then here is a tutorial for you ;)

Inglot Eye Shadows: Review

Hello Beautiful!

A couple of weeks ago, I was shopping at Westfield Mall in London and I came across the Inglot store. I have heard so much about Inglot makeup before (especially from EnKoreMakeup on YT), but I actually have never tried it! So, I went into the store, swatched some of the eye shadows on my hand and ... OMG! ...I could not believe it! I fell in love with these eye shadows immediately! As a result, I bought a bunch of eye shadows (gee, I spent around 81 GBP on them, how crazy is that!?) and today I will review them for you! :)

Now, let me show you the eye shadows I bought and their swatches:

1) First, I decided to go for a 10 eye shadow palette. Although it was quite pricy, I was not sure when I will be able to buy more Inglot eye shadows... so I felt kind of greedy and grabbed the max palette I could afford! :) At Inglot they have this Freedom system, where you choose the empty palette you want (they have a large variety, 3, 5, 10, 20 etc) and you fill it in. Here are my eye shadow choices and their swatches.

2) Second, I have to mention that Inglot has both square and circle eye shadows. Now as far as I understood from the talk with one of Inglot employees (her name is Tammy and she is the sweetest and friendliest person I have ever met!), circle eye shadows are going to be discontinued. It is kind of sad, cos these are cheaper than the square ones if bought in a palette. Anyways, I was lucky enough to grab some of these and here they are:

3) Third, I also grabbed some larger circle eye shadows, cos these were on a discount, I suppose these will be discontinued too...not sure though
I personally am in love with Inglot as a brand and quality of the eye shadows! I am sure that the next time I will buy even more eye shadows, try some lipsticks and nail polishes! However, my review would not be a review if I didn't summarize everything together and didn't mention pros and cons, so here it goes ;)

* Huge variety of colors (both matte and shimmery ones)
* Multiple palettes available
* Amazing quality and pigmentation
* Not tested on animals
* 2,7 g / 0,09 OZ of product (compared to MAC: 1,5 g/ 0,05 OZ)
* Paraben free formula (don't really know what that is... but I guess that is good :) )
* Good and professional looking packaging
* 20% discount if you are a makeup artist
* Good customer service (I know we can't judge only by one purchase, but Tammy was so nice that I couldn't help mentioning it!)

* Quite pricy (circle eye shadows both small and big ones - GBP 9.00; square eye shadows in a palette - GBP 5.00 + freedom system palette - GBP 8.00)

Here is also the link to Inglot's website!

All in all, my rating is 5 out of 5! ;)

Sigma Premium Professional Brush Kit Contest Results

Hello Gorgeous!

The time to announce the winner has come!

Before I announce the winner... and now don't be impatient and scroll this page immediately down :) ... let me first thank all of you for participating in this contest! It is a really great honour for me to have such great and amazing subscribers like you! It always amazes me how creative you are and this time was not an exception! All video responses were wonderful, so thank you once again for spending your time and doing these amazing video responses!

Now, I don't want to keep you waiting any longer! The winner of the contest is ...

My sincere congratulations! Make sure to contact me on YT asap!

Also, let me tell all of you how we chose the winner. As I explained in the contest video, there were 3 of us, who chose their favorite entries. Once this was done, we used to choose a winner. I am not going to mention other "winners", all I can say it was a girl and a boy! "Fitclubonly" was my husband's favorite choice and as he explained to me, he picked up this Youtuber, because video response was simple, understandable, quick, easy to follow and it made an impression that the person followed my videos... so this entry was not picked up because I was featured there! It was a total coincidence :)

I also wanted to bring up another issue... my young subscribers! :) From what I have seen there are some future makeup artist growing up and I would like to support them. Since from watching the videos I got an impression that they really want to get makeup brushes, I decided to give away some extra brushes I have ... obviously, they are new and I have never used them! And the lucky ones are ...

I have five different brushes to choose from:

MAC 275 brush (angled blending brush)
MAC 194 brush (small concealer brush)
MAC 168 brush (angled contouring brush)
Make Up Store's flat shader brush
No Brand Blush brush (bristles are of a great quality)

The mentioned-above makeup lovers, please contact me on YT and list brushes from the most wanted till most unwanted. The first one to write gets an opportunity to get her favorite brush first.

I guess this is it! Thank you all once again! Stay tuned for more contests!

Easter time is coming up and being inspired by a spring time (not that the one has come to my country, it is still SO cold) I decided to do a colorful makeup and use some feathery lashes to pimp it up a little bit. As one of my YT viewers asked in her comment "Is Easter like a clown parade where you live?", I for sure can say that inspiration came not from clown parades, but from decorations used during the Easter time in my country! :) Obviously, I would not go to work wearing this look, but I guess it would be fun to do an Easter inspired photosession or something like that...  why not? :P

Anyways, I hope you will enjoy watching the tutorial and in case any of you wants to recreate this look, I am going to place the product list below! Enjoy!

Too Faced - Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue Review

Hello gorgeous!

Today I decided to do a review of a wonderful product for you! "Why wonderful?", - you might ask. Very simple! How can you imagine our girly lives without glitters, loose pigments and eye shadows? I personally can't! Can you?

As far as I know there used to be no special primer for the mentioned above products! How did you make your pigments stick to your lid? I personally tried 3 methods:
1) clear lip gloss, which I applied to the lid... after a while it made the such a mess with my makeup
2) concealer mixed with a lipstick... by the way, this is a good method, but requires some time to produce the mixture
3) DUO adhesive... quite a good method as well
Mentioned-above methods do work, but they are not completely intended for the glitters and loose powders. And this is exactly why I was so glad for Too Faced Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue to appear in our makeup shops! :)

What it is:

A glue specifically formulated to lock down eye glitter and enhance its reflective quality.

Sold in a nice and glittery package, the product turns your attention to it immediately. Unlike Shadow Insurance primer, it is does not look oily and greasy. What you get is a white product, which after blending turns into a transparent  tacky ( not sticky ) in texture primer. Cream formula is designed to grab and hold loose glitters, pigments, and shimmers so they won't come off until you take them off.

The primer is intended only for glitters/loose pigments. Obviously, if you use those on an every-day basis, the product is worth buying, but if not... why buying? Some might think that it might be used instead of a common primer, but I would disagree. The thing is that it locks down eye shadows and makes those hard to blend. If this is not your issue and you dont do smoky well blended eyes, you might indeed use this product.

The description on the packaging also suggests that the product minimizes fallout. Yes, that is obviously true when you have already applied the eye shadow/pigment. However, when applying loose pigments the fallout will still occur.

Shadow Insurance Glitter Glue is not a cheap product, below I give a price comparison, so you can see for yourself.

Price in the EU: 15 EUR, which is ca 21 USD
Price in the US: 18 USD
Price in the UK: 16.50 GBP, which is ca 26.60 USD

My rating

4,5 out of 5

Hope you enjoyed this review! ;) Please let me know if you have used this product and how you liked it!
